Power surge from somewhere would be my guess. Could be the alternator.. belt.. pulley.. could be that an electrical component is sporadically drawing too much power.
Sorry, kind of hard to diagnose without seeing it. Try to pay attention to when it happens. Under accelleration? Is the radio on? Heat or A/C on? When you use your blinkers? When your radiator fan kicks on? If you can figure out when it happens, it'll be a lot easier to pinpoint. If it's just a slight dim, I wouldn't worry about it. But if it's significant - to where you can barely see, I'd take it into a shop and have it looked at. Definately wouldn't want them shutting off on you completely when you're driving some night!

Either your alternator cannot keep up with the power demands that you need while idling or your battery is about to give up the ghost. You could have a poor connection that is eating the voltage up before or after the lights load too. You will have to start eliminating things starting with a complete starting/charging system check. Good luck.

Put a multi meter on your battery with the car running and see if your getting somewhere near 14. If not your alternator may be going. It could also be corrosion on the terminals.

Check your charging system. Could be a sign of an alternator starting to fail.

it would have a huge round plastic ring around the lower back of the mild protecting it in there...turn that so it somes off and wiggle the bulb free. Then examine the decision on the bulb so that you replace the stunning one...verify once you position in it to tighten the plastic ring...this holds the bulb in tight.
