I have my own chicken for that. I just squeeze her when I need eggs.

I buy free range eggs, as they're better for chickens than barn eggs. When I get a job and can afford to, I will starting buying the organic ones, as even the free range aren't supposed to be much better for chickens.

Poor chickens :(

ETA: Which came first: The free range chicken or the free range egg?

I won't go anywhere near battery farm eggs. We learnt about those farms in school and I was disgusted. Free Range only.

Straight from the local farm just like you and they are just so beautiful, you can't beat a fresh free range egg.

Free range. Can't buy the cheap ones, those poor chicks. Can you imagine the heat in a battery shed today, no air conditioning for them poor things, 1000's must die everyday.

Free range from my own hens on 300 acres. Now , if I can just shoot the bloody foxes that are after them they would feel safer. I am sitting up tonight with my gun. Banning hunting helped no end- I don't think !

They may be gorgeous, but when you have a family of 5 to feed, the price comes first.

No, I get them from the store because it grosses me out to find a blood egg or worse.
