Right we need to get over this "do you read paper's?" " do you know who such a person is", I'm far from an idiot, but is every bad thing you see in the media evil, it's a question not a statement. And to the guy who was reffering to the rape of a five year old sister my thoughts go out to you, hanging's to good for them

HEP who are you Duh in to, was Hitler evil? probably but I think it takes a bit more lateral thinking than you probably could string together, and zetsy you need to tell your history teacher that they are teaching you incorrectly. I really don't require a history lesson having a history degree myself but you need to at least double your figures of Jewish holocaust victims

Sorry zetsy re-reading your answer and I hope your only nine, because you literacy skills are dire. The subject of the holocaust is a lengthy but interesting topic. But go into your next class armed with actual facts, 12 million people died in German & Polish concentration camps, six million of those Jews as part of the 1942 final solution, a notion concocted by an 'evil' man known as Reinhard Heindrich, reasons why, I'll let your teacher try and redeem themselves

yess there certainly WAS. =]
in history class, im studying the holocaust, where the germans took jews, gays & blacks, and took them to these camps,, and these people were put in a gas chamber,, and gased becasue they were the things above.
the conditions of these camps were poor,, one person would have 2 and a half loafes of bread a month!! ,, men were seperated from women,, if you were under the age of 12,, you were gassed, then incinerated. not only did that happen to children,, 3 million people this happend too,, only few survived this horrible tragedy.
you werent able to escape,, because there were electric fences around these camps,, thousands died of hunger,, some just collasped and dies because they were so weak.
why this happend,, i do not no ((still studying))
the geremans were evil back thn. pure evil.
hoped i gave u a good answer =]

Do you read papers? There is several reportings of true evil. The latest was the pscyho killer who massacred all the students at Virginia Tech. Another case was the docter in WWII that commited hundreds of nightmarish test on human beings to determine what temperature skin boils, how much pressure break bones, and much much more.
So of course there is true evil. But these are examples of true evil people, there are also actions that are classfied as true evil. Most Quintin Tarantino movies have true evil in them. At least the act of. When a mother throws her living baby in a bag and tosses the bag in a trash can, true evil act.

Oh I wish I'd saved a great email I was sent once about whether evil truely exists.
It basically said that evil definately exists. In the same mind that darkness definately exists. Darkness is the absense of light. Darkness does not exist in itself and could not exist without the existance of light, to distinguish the lack of it.
Evil, often referred to as darkness, is merely the lack of goodness, or the absense of God, often referred to as 'The Light'. Without goodness there can be no evil.
Who said this??
Einstein.

I've seen insanity and the morally corrupt, but not evil. I've never seen anything that could qualify as having no redeeming values. (Even the roomie's cat could be good, if deep fried...)

Evil is only peoples oppinion of something. When someone doesn't like something they call it evil. Same with the bible realy, it makes the devil sound so bad but you're only hearing one side of the story.

It'd be pretty damn hard to chalk up your 5 year old sister's rape and murder to goodness. Try to be neutral on that one.
