Absolutely yes - but we have no definitive evidence to say one way or the other at the moment, only statistical probabilities (which say yes). Frustrating.

the building blocks that make up our solar system (where we know there is life, us) is the norm more or less throughout the universe.
our star ,the sun, is only one of a 100 billion stars in our galaxy and our galaxy is only one of 100 billion in the known universe, so mathematically for life to exist elsewhere in the universe is a fairly strong possiblity. in fact even in our own galaxy there could be other lifeforms.
NASA are preparing plans for a possible mission to europa (one of jupiter moons) by sending a probe to drill under it's icy crust in search of an ocean kept fluid by gravitational forces from jupiter. one of there goals is finding possible life. if they do the possibilities of life elsewhere would be almost undeniable.
in the 1960's a Dr Drake form the Drake Equation for estimating other possible intelligent life in our own galaxy. this equation is been updated ever since. to date the equation estimates approx. 1000 planets in our own galaxy.
I do believe one day we will find proof through groups like SETI from picking up signals (accidential or by design). i don't think we ever be visited by aliens due to the immense distances involved. however i could be wrong.

With all the galaxies and stars and planets, I hope so. As Carl Sagan once said, if we are the only life in the universe, it's a terrible waste of space.

Gotta be! Millions and millions of stars, but if they're anything like us space travel will only last for a few tens of years before we are extinct or revert to savagery. so over the millions of years the chance of contact is decreasingly small.

Life fill up any part of space where it can exist even for short period of time... Life is just matter of possibility to be alive matter... And it depends what you mean by life... Because for me life is any kind of matter that affects world to change... in temperature or even in its look... Whole explanation would be more clear but far too long... And I think it would be better for you to stick to formula of life... Build on carbon... plant, animal, mushroom... one cell life form or complicated evolved organism... Whole that exists to live...

When you consider that we are the consciousness of the universe, produced by the universe it is likely others like us would be distributed in all parts of the universe.
Billions of sets of eyes and ears instead of only one set.

the odds are yes, when you consider the billions of stars out there, there must be other planet orbiting them with some type of life form.
