This is not overly difficult for someone who has experience ripping motors in and out, but not something for a beginner. The 350 will fit in this car with no difficulty, but there are quite a few things that have to be modified. The motor mounts should fit, but the trans will not be able to be interchanged as it is a different bolt pattern and the internals of the stock one will not be able to handle the v-8. You will most likely need a larger rad, a new set of mounting brackets and pulleys for the motor's accessories, and new coolant hoses for the bigger motor also. You might even need new styles of P.S. pump and A.C. compressor. You should look at yours and then find one that is already equipped with a V-8 to see what it should look like. Lots of these parts are available in the junk yard. To finish you will need to completely overhaul the exhaust system as it is totally different. Good luck.

You need to head to the junkyard and find the V8 version of your car. If you want a Chevy motor or Olds motor your going to need the motor mounts off the frame for that motor. The electrical should line up easily since the V8 sits further back the the V6 would. Plus if you can even grab a complete motor from the junkyard too you'll be able to grab all the important brackets and componets you'll need to finish the swap up for the factory look.

The swap is not terrible hard I did a similar swap in a 3 day weekend when I was 21 and just out of the Navy. With basic hand tools bought at Pep-Boys, and a bunch of manual checks.

this is a very common engine swap. Similiar to the one I am doing now, except I am going from a v6 to a 455 olds in a 84 cutlass. The block will fit into the engine compartment with no problem. The engine mount perches located on the frame(these are what the engine mounts bolt to)need to be moved to the right location. You'll need to remove the v6 perches and install them to the engine mounts on the 350. Lower the engine down onto the frame. there are several bolt holes in the frame to accommodate the v8 perches. Once you have found the correct holes, mark them and remove the engine. Now you can go ahead and bolt the mount perches to the frame.

seem on the burden of that 3000GT. And the front wheel stress sucks. all wheel stress VR extra efficient even extra weight. Nissan question it really is possable to position in a V-8 in a 240sx. you ought to assume about 6 months of setting up eliminating refitting making a sparkling device cluster. about 2 to three weeks merely to change the unique vehicles wiring. I personal a 2006 Pontiac GTO 6 velocity with 6.0 liter V-8. production unit assure very quickly. And each little thing works. warm rods like you're questioning about some finally end up storage projects that under no circumstances end so do not initiate until eventually you fairly opt to spend a lot of money and observe the project to the proper. then you fairly will discover out the rear axle can't take better than 2 hundred hp.

If the V-6 is not a Chevy engine you will have to change the transmission (or bellhousing if it's a 4-speed or more), and possibly engine to frame mounts. The exhaust pipes will have to be modified or replaced also. Possibly the AC and alternator might be mounted differently, too. If the Olds is front wheel drive, forget it, won't work at all.
