At what age/weight does a baby outgrow a changing table? My son is 9 months old and crawling and I was just wondering. Also, if he's outgrown it, where do you change babies? Need suggestions! Thanks!

I'm sure it depends on the changing table, but mine is for babies up to 25 lbs. My daughter is 15 months and 22 lbs so we still use it. However she is really tall for her age so she can't lay down completely, she has to bend her knees. We also change her on the floor, the coffee table and on our bathroom counter. We put a changing table pad right on the counter and it works great.

My son is a year old, and I never used a changing table. I used to have a mattress decorated as a day bed in the living room for him; but now just keep a clean comforter specially located there on the floor for convenience. He's running all over the house so it just takes a minute to change him, and he's on his way.

I have only used the changing table a few times. I usually just lay a blanked on the floor or bed and change the diaper there. You can really change the baby anywhere, just remember that a boy can spray. So, keep that in mind when picking a new place to change him.

I change my son on the floor, with a blanket under him. The weight for a changing table will vary, so check your manual.

The benefit of using the floor is that the baby can't roll off.

I still use my sons changing table regularly and he just turned 2. His little legs hang off the edge of the table, but it is just so convenient and easy on my back. (Especially for the poop diapers.) We also use the floor in the living room.

I never used one. I have always changed my baby on the floor. It was just easier for me. We use these waterproof changing pads on top of a blanket.
