Read books, play peek a boo. Build with blocks. By 7 months the baby should be sitting up. You can play name the body game. All this isn't too early for a 7 month old.

Is this an active baby? I hope they brought the babies favorite toy. My daughter is 10 months and she was starting to crawl at that age. So find a lot of nose makers that light up. Singing along to children's music is great also.

Read to him, bring out some blocks, cars, Little People. But he'll probably be more interested with whatever's in your hands. They're entertained by the simplest things.

That is so funny! The way you worded this question, it sounds like you are house-sitting, and there just happens to be a baby there, just like if it were a pet!

Do you have no childcare experience?

LOL!
