Many people assume that Barry Bonds will break Hank Aaron's home run record. But, without steroids, and at his age, I wonder if maybe he won't.

I believe that Alex Rodriguez will be the first to break Barry Bonds record, and I can't wait! A-Rod is only 32 years old and it doesn't seem like hes slowing down. So don't be surprised when he breaks it.

Barring injury, I believe Bonds will break the home run record sometime around the end of July or early August.

Sadly YES HE WILL. He has been amazing this season. This will hurt me to say but "Barry Bonds will break the home run record". I do not know if this is a good thing but A-ROD at his pace will break Barry Bonds home run record.

hopes this helps and hope I would never have to say "Barry Bonds will break the home run record" EVER AGAIN.

Do you mean the MLB record or the world home run record? If you mean the MLB record, unfortunately yes. But if you mean the world home run record, I don't think so. The official world home run record is 868 set by Sadaharu Oh. The unofficial home run record is 9?? by Josh Gibson of the Homestead Grays. (***** League)

P.S. If you are a Giants fan, I take back the part about "Unfortunately"

I don't assume, I know he'll break the record. He's on a pretty good tear right now and is on pace to break the record sometime in June.

I feel he will definitely do it.... He has plenty of time. Its a shame, cause I feel most of his success is due to Steroid Use. Hank Aaron is a classic all star player, and Its a shame that Bonds will get so much recognition!!!

Can anyone imagine if Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth etc took steroids? When Ruth hit 60 homeruns, he hit more than the whole league (ok, there were a lot less teams in the league than, but still)...Ruth would have hit 300 homeruns that season (especially with a tighter spun ball and lower mound)...what would they be making if they were alive now...$50million a year?

he only needs 13 homeruns to break it. and he has over 5 months to do it. he will do it,he said himself that hes feeling as good or better than he was before all the knee problems that troubled him the last 2 years.barring any unsightly, unimaginable injury, illness, death, etc. he will break it either just after or just before the A.S. break.

First of all you or no one else has any proof he did steroids. And if you watched any baseball, you would know that he is going to break it!!!!
