this is a difficult question to ask,
I was in the library and am interested in some ligtht hearted erotica
Do you know of any books that most libraries carry that's erotica with a story and plot involved?
I am not looking for the "olympic-sex" series , just a good book to read at night. Something with a story and just the right amount or erotica.
Thanks much!

You don't have to go to the library.

Jean Auel's "Earth's Children" series has some rather explicit steamy parts but it's not porn. This is the series that begins with "The Clan of the Cave Bear". It's a great story about prehistoric people. Highly recommended.

The erotic bits don't start until the second book "The Mammoth Hunters". The first book is mostly about Neanderthals.

A few authors you might look for:

Judy Blume (Forever; Wifey; Summer Sisters)
Norma Klein (Beginner's Love)
VC Andrews (The Cutler Series)

Someone mentioned Literotica.com--great site for free unpublished erotica. Most if it is pretty hardcore, but there are a few gems in there. It updates frequently, and they have most of them categorized so you can choose the intensity of the sex.

Anais Nin can easily be found in the library.

You could also look at what books have been banned for their sexual content. Anne Rice. Henry Miller. D H Lawrence. V C Andrews. Etc.

If you can search through the library's catalog, try doing one for "erotica". You'll pull up books like "Wanderlust" edited by Carol Taylor and "Fever Hot Dreams" by Jaci Burton.

Good luck on your search :)

Yeah, Annias Nin is good. It's been a while but if I remember right Henry Miller's "Tropic of Cancer" was sort of that way...
