Okay, I asked a similar question before, but I am going out in less than 4 hours and now I don't know. He is taking me to the symphony, and I have this beautiful formal black dress. Should I wear black sheer stockings with formal pumps that are open at the sides, or should I go bare with strappy sandals? I haven't felt this way about someone since I was 16, I really want it to be a perfect evening! Please help!

Okay I guess I'm kind of a drama queen, since I'm an actress that isn't surprising. Some other posters said yesterday that I should wear sheer hose since I was probably going to lose the shoes after the concert, so it really is a matter of first impression. He has never seen me dressed up!

And yes, I was talking about stockings and a garter belt. Now I'm nervous again!

If you're wearing a formal dress I would go with the formal pumps. Strappy sandals might not pull the symphony "look" off. If you want to not wear stockings, there's this Sally Hansen stuff that you spray on your legs that make it look like stockings, it really works, I've used it a million times.

No hose and bare legs is perfect for this time of year with a little, black, strappy sandal, make sure it's a heel since you are going to be wearing a nice dress. I think hose and closed toe shoes would be too "stuffy" for this event. Have fun!

Panty hose? If so then go bare with the sandals. A perfect evening does not include him having to tug his way past panty hose. Now, if you are talking hose and a garter belt...go with the black stockings of course !!!!!

You should definitely wear hose and dressy shoes. When going to the symphony, people tend to get dressed up. Women should wear a nice dress, hose, and shoes. Men should wear a suit. I've even seen tuxes at the symphony before.

WOW normally I would always say Strappy and open toed!!! But in this case go the other way. It is more formal and that is better for the symphony!

go with stockings, but now black, it's too dark for spring, and i would stick with the fancy-er shoes. Just don't do to much black. i went the the Detroit symphony once and people weren't dressed up that much, only a little, so i think you should'nt wear the black stockings. have fun and good luck!

stockings and pumps, that will keep him imagining more and especially if u think u will be taking off some of it later, i almost always say sandals and bare but in this case better with the stockings which can be very sexy 2!

Go with the hose and pumps.Sandals really aren't for the formal attire unless you're wearing a toga.

I ALWAYS say go bare. I think it looks younger and just better overall....plus it's summer time and hose are typically worn in winter. And I think it has something to do with where you live. I live in AZ, and I see someone in hose maybe once a year....very rare. Good luck!
