Yahoo! 360 ( http://360.yahoo.com/ ) is a great place to set up a blog. You can upload a picture or chose from backrounds that come with 360. Have a look at my Yahoo! 360 blog, ( http://360.yahoo.com/chetblong ) that should give you an idea at what you can do with a blog on Yahoo! 360.

for blogging, livejournal is a good one. it's free too (you can have some kind of "upgrade" for a small price as well). myspace makes it so you can blog but it's more focused on collecting friends and taking pictures of yourself.

i would try livejournal.com
its the best place to write what you feel and others can read and comment it if you make it public.
you can also decorate and make it all your own
