Probably because the answers would suck. Besides there's nothing else really to do, and hey its crossed my mind, I lose 5 points but if I choose a best answer then I 3 back and if I answer one then I will be back where I was.
Sometimes it feels good to get responses with people that might think better then answering and getting no response. How often do I get best answer, well for me hardly ever. So why ask a proper question?

burn out. just recycle some old ones most other people do. look for ones with lots of stars thats a popular starting choice.
