Because no one really cares about their fellow man, with all the athletes, actors, ceos, and all the other folks that have money dont want to give back. Its like I made this money you go out and make your own money. Example is during the holiday season folks do so much for the less fortunate, however once the holidays are over its like it never really happened at all because everyone goes back to living life as though there are no unfortunate people in the world. To me its funny how people in the US can donate money to countries all over the world, but cant help the homeless, and the hungry four to five blocks away from them. Oprah Winfrey helped build schools in Africa, but the schools in Chicago are in just as bad of shape I mean I dont understand it at all. In all forms of life everything is created in twos good-bad day-night right now I think the hatred is over shadowing the love of humanity I do think there are folks making a difference, just not enough of them

Human nature. People always want to feel superior so they put other people down so they can feel better. People do love and want to help others but normally care more about themselves. People should treat everyone equally with love. People should realize that we are all humans and in this together.

* The success of love is in the loving - it is not in the result of loving. Of course it is natural in love to want the best for the other person, but whether it turns out that way or not does not determine the value of what we have done.

* The greatest science in the world; in heaven and on earth; is love.

* The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread. Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty. There is more hunger for love and appreciation in this world than for bread.

As my teacher of philosophy once said, all humans have their own interests and evyone wants his or her interest to be most important. As a result, we keep fighting for our place under the sun... In simpler words, it's intolerance, that makes these everyday conflicts. Why white people dislike black (though most of them claim, they aren't racists)? Because they still believe they come from kings and creators of all the best in history. Why men still think women are weaker are sillier? Because through ages it was thought that woman's place is in the kitchen. People seem to forget that they are all made from the same "substance" despite all their external differences. Add different morality, qualities instilled by their parents, socio-cultural conditions and you'll get answer to your question.

there can be as much love and equality in your world as you want there to be. Don't allow others who project no love or involve themselves in inequality to be part of your world. And remember your definitions of love or equality may vary from another persons.
