I hate to be the one to let the libs know the truth. The Dems are as much to blame as the CONS. Sorry if I burst your bubble.

Just wish the American people as a whole country would tell them to stick it!!! If we would just all stick together we could get something done!!!!

for starters:
1. Do not go anywhere on the weekends!!! (no restaurants, movies etc.)
2.Don't buy gas on the weekend! From Friday to Monday!
3.Don't go shopping to the malls or walmarts or what ever, because if they are starting to suffer loss financially then they will go to the PINHEADS in Washington and start to complain that because of the gas prices people are not shopping and it is starting to hurt our business!!
4. avoid one of the gas stations(like EXXON/MOBILE) these people are JUST FREEKIN GREEDY!!!!!! after a 9 BILLION dollar profit they raise gas prices!! They are CRIMINAL!!! choose another gas station!! Make a statement to Exxon that we don't need you!!!

I just feel that people in this country are to SELFISH and are SPINELESS!! to actually do something about the gas prices!! They would rather sit in their Recliners and PISS AND MOAN and not do anything!!!
that is why GAS prices will keep climbing!!!!

SO TELL THEM TO SHOVE IT!!!
STAY HOME OVER THE WEEKEND!!!!!
MAKE IT A FAMILY WEEKEND!!

May oil futures were bid sky high last month when Iran was holding the British hostages. The oil to make this months gasoline was bought a month ago. Crude oil prices hit the roof. Oil refineries didn't buy that much crude becuase the price was too high. As a result, there is a shortage of gas this month. It's supply and demand.
June futures have fallen. Gas should be cheaper next month.

The oil companies keep saying it is supply and demand.

The problem is, demand has been growing steadily and the oil companies have not built one single oil refinery since the early seventies.

OPEC can pump all of the oil that they want but it won't relieve the bottleneck intentionally set up by our own domestic oil refiners.

With the intentionally placed bottleneck they can "truthfully" say that there is a supply shortage and price gouge us.

What a crock.

Gas prices are not rising due to Bush. It's called economics.

1) Demand is outpacing supply. Therefore, price rises.
2) The US refinery operate on a razor thin margin. Small disruptions will cause price fluctuations
3) Supply problems due to instability in the Middle East
4) Prime driving season arrival
5) Developing countries using more oil

These are causing prices to rise

Gas prices are rising because of limited Refinery capacity and why have no new refiners been built since 1976?

Easy

Environmentalism.

Great post Phil! The price of gas is due to greedy oil companies.

Phil, I blame the liberal Environmentalists and I'll tell you why...
1. They won't let us drill in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico
2. They have made it so that we need hundreds of "blends" of gas around the country. Wisconsin had a shortage of our blend not that long ago and we were paying WAY more than the rest of the country for our gas.

Solutions...
1. Let's drill in our own country
2. Do away with the gas blends

It's a start!

Your so correct!! It would be nice if we could take politics back and make it what it is suppose to be! A voice for the people instead of a payola for the lobbyist.

As long as neo-cons in office continue to worship the burning Bush, nothing will ever change.
