You're trying to convert from Watts to horsepower aren't you? Aren't you?

1e6 / 6.9e3
= 1/6.9 * e3
= 100* 10/6.9

We know that 10 / 6.6667 = 1.5
so 10/6.9 must be a little less than 1.5
and 100* 10/6.9 must be a little less than 150.
Don't use your calculator for that.

1000 / 6.9 = 10,000 / 69 = 144 and 64/69, or about
144.9275
