i need extra money something i can do while im at home on the computer that is legal and not degrading

Do your research. There are many many stay home mom and making some serious $$.
Some sell their own creative goods, some sell their own virtual assistant services. Some even write a blog to make $$$.
There is no free lunch. Don't even bother to join those group claiming "Make $$ without any work" Those are eating your $$.
Think about this, 85% of business in the USA are small business. Over 50% of them are home based business.
There are many home entrepreneurs. It doesn't has to be a mom. I am a stay home husband and doing my own online business in my short ..... . ;-)
Find some interesting idea and go for it. If you need help on setting up e-commerce store or IT related issues. I can help

There are a range of 'MLM' (multi level marketing) schemes out there. Few offer the rewards the advocates of these programmes claim (and I know quite a few who use them) but there are some which (with hard work and sales skills) can start to generate a second income for you. Always look at them with open eyes, and think about whether they are involved in things that people actually want/use and the pricing strategies for them. This is not the place to sell such programmes (and I suspect you will get a few here on yahoo answers). If you want to check out the legitimacy or otherwise of them I would always do a 'reality check' with a trusted business advisor.

Every time I post this type of question the answers I get back are online surveys and they tell me how much money they make. However, I haven't made a dime doing what they say or going to the websites they direct me to when I try to sign up for these types of things. The only thing that works for me is by trying to find online focus groups. These groups pay you for one, two or three hours of work(which is taking a survey online). They pay anywhere from $50 to $150 per hour if you can find some good ones.

The overwhelming majority of work-at-home schemes are just that, schemes to cheat you out of your money.
It is extremely unlikely you will find anything, so just get off the chair, and go find a job with MacDonald's or Wendy's, earn enough for what you need, then quit.
Repeat as needed.

It depends on what your skills are. Software development, Web and graphic design, technical writing, and bookkeeping are some of the jobs that require the use of computer and are often done at home.
