the answer is -1/9

this is true because you have to take the differences in the y-values
over the differences in the x-values

therefore, you take (2-1)/ (-4-5) and you get 1/-9

but you can simplify it to be -1/9

the formula of finding the slope is y1-y2/x1-x2....
so 2-1/-4-5....simplifies to -1/9...so the m=-1/9
then choose one of the coordinates and put in into the y=mx+b to find out what b=.....
i chose(5,1) because it is easy if it positive numbers...
so 1=-1/9(5)+b........simplifies to 1=-5/9+b
then you plus 5/9 on both sides.........so b=1 and 5/9
so the slope formula is
y=1/9x+1 and 5/9
