Some people can, some can't. It somewhat depends on the position of your uterus. just like some people feel the baby kicking more than others and some people feel braxton hicks contractions more than others. I never noticed it with my kids, but the doctor said they had dropped. Some people just notice that it's easier to breathe, others notice more pressure lower in their abdomen, and others just notice how it looks from the outside. And it is rarely a sudden drop (I have only heard of one friend who noticed a huge change in just a few minutes), just a gradual descent.

I think so. When I was 28 weeks, I had a day that I felt intense pressure "down there", but aside from that I really didnt notice much else, I had a feeling that the baby dropped, but I thought it was too soon, but the heaviness and pressure has never really gone away and I'm now in my 30th week and had an ultrasound a few days ago and it was confirmed that he did indeed drop with no possibilty of turning around. The tech said he was very low and in position. I think I generally carry low, this is my third pregnancy and maybe I'm just more aware of my body this time around but I never noticed anything with the last two, just this one and it was the intense pressure.
Good luck!

Yes you can feel it, although its not really a feeling of the baby 'dropping'...its not instantaneous. You feel it lower down towards the cervix so the pressure will be relieved from under your ribcage making it easier to do a lot of things, like eat without heartburn! with both of my children (I have a 6yr old and a 10month old) I would joke saying that it felt like they were about to drop out, but I felt more pressure in my pelvis, almost in my groin area. Its a really cool thing...you know that the baby isnt too far off coming!

Many women can feel the difference when the baby drops. If you don't notice right away, you probably will soon. The entire baby drops lower, and you can feel the pressure more so on your uterus.

Some people can. For me it was a very slow decent that I didn't really notice. but my doctor told me the baby had dropped. I don't think it ever feels like the baby fell (which is kind of what I thought before I had kids.)

When the baby drops you will feel pressure in your pelvic area. You might also feel other pressure on your cervix being pushed down that feels like he's reaching his/her arm right through you, Its all normal. You will be able to feel him/her engaged when they drop, and you will defianatly notice it because you will be able to eat again, breathe again, and most of all relax. unfortunatly you'll probably have to pee a lot more too. lol

Its not a drop, more of a slow decent. You will feel it in the sense of having more pressure lower, maybe having to pee more, etc.

well...not the exact moment it happens but!
you will be able to breath easier, Visibly see it, and increased back pain and pelvic pressure, in the last few days before delivery, mine was almost severe, couldnt sit, stand, walk, lay down, nothing helped. I was exausted!
