My daughter NEVER stops cooing, babbling, and blowing raspberries. Is this any indication of a talkative person later in life?

Research does not state that the excess of these behaviors will necessarily indicate talkativeness, however, these behaviors are early signs of language acquisition. These are necessary steps to learning oral language. The more you talk to your child, despite their inability to communicate back because of their lack of word knowledge, the more they will "talk back" in the only way they know how: cooing, babbling, and blowing raspberries. The only link I can surmise is that if these behaviors are encouraged, it will result in early language acquisition and later a more talktive nature due to the high knowledge of words. Language is also innately hereditary, meaning your child will get a lot of her language function from you and her father.

She is just a happy baby and is expressing her self the only way she can. My daughter was the same way and then when she could talk she was very shy and barely talked around others.

No. It just means that she likes talking right now. And she is apparently pretty happy. It is so cute when they are little. You want them to walk and talk. Pretty soon they grow up and all you'll want them to do is sit down and shut up :) Enjoy her while she's small. They don't always stay so cute.

My son was the same way. Unfortunately it hasn't translated later in life...he does have a huge vocabulary though.

These indications mean that she is not lazy and is very active but not talkative.

These things have no correlation between each other. She is just intelligent and doing the things that she is to be doing at her age.
