It is not too late, but I think you should have made the decision when he was first born, or before he was born. I think now you should just not even do it, and just wait. It might be more painful for him at one year then if he was just newborn. It is your decision and no one should put you down for wanting too, but you might want to think of the pain factor now, instead of the look factor. There are so many pros to having your child circumcised. It is not child abuse, or we as parents of circumcised boys would not have the choice. I am personally glad that I did, he was in no pain at all when they did it either as a newborn. Good Luck

I had a friend who converted to judeism late in life (he was already married and had kids) and had to be circumsized as an adult. If he could do it, your son can too. It's just going to hurt like heck.

No it is not too late but you should wait much longer, talk to his doctor.
If you do decide to do it you need to talk to him about it, tell him that it isn't because he did something bad. Support him and tell him that it is all okay.
I know a boy who had it done at two and he is fine, he likes his "new" penis. His parents decided to do it because of repeat infections.
There are some health benefits to circumcision, but as with any surgery there are risks.
It is up to your family to decide what is best for your son.

Ouch! It's never too late, but wow... that is gonna hurt. Now might not be a good time. He's old enough now to touch it, so it may get infected or irritated. You shold've done it when he was a newborn, he wouldn't have minded much then.

NO its not too late but good luck finding a Dr who will do it to a 1 year old. The older a baby gets the more likely they will get an infection by a circumcision. Thats why most Dr's will only do it 2 weeks for less old.

No it isnt too late, the sooner you do it the better. He wont remember at this age and they will numb it so it will not be that big of a deal. Go for it. They just came out with a study that shows uncircumcised men have a higher chance of getting HIV.

No a child can be circumcised at anytime, just talk to his doctor. But if he is not having any problems, then why do you want it done now. If he is having medical problems, then talk to his doctor, they may try an alternative method of dealing with the problems.
