99% or so. Which means about 1 per 100 will get knocked up on it.
And I would know. My daughter is now 6.

this is why birthcontrol comes with directions. It should tell you that when properly used there is no need to use other protection. So, if you take your pill or whatever every day around the same time then it is effective, however, it does not protect against STD's. So unless you are in a faithful relationship I would suggest using condoms also.

Very effective. The pill is the only contraception that my husband and I use and we haven't been pregnant in 6 years. Before I got pregnant with my son I didn't use the pill. Hope this is what you're looking for.

The pill is 99.7% effective if taken correctly. This means everyday, right around the same time. Take a pill late or missnig pills is considered typical use, which gives you around 97-98% protection. As long as you take your pill corrcectly, you have a very low chance of pregnancy.

99.9% if used correctly - that is never missing/skipping a pill, taking it at the same time every day, and using an alternate form when on antibiotics. If you are overweight the effectiveness is somewhat reduced, but is still about 98% effective.

Depends on the brand. In clinical studies most are about 99% effective. But in actual use, failure rates are about 2.5-8% (again depending on brand, i.e. minipill, combined pill).

It depends on if you take it right. 99% if you do, but doesn't protect against STD's, so use a condom too. Then you won't have a mess to clean up either! LOL!

I you take it accurately and correctly there's no reason it shouldn't work. Pregnancy wise that is. Not quite so protective when it comes to STDs.
