Ok I get that they were close friends but she was still pretty into Denny. Then opps they got drunk and IT happened, but what is with the love thing going on with them. I mean ok they had sex but they are not in love, I did not see that at all before, they were just friends.

I think the writers are trying to make us think that Izzy was in love with George all along which is why she didn't like Cali much. However, like you, I didn't see it either before.

The writers ruined the Izzy character for me when they did this. They've turned her into a hateful bi--h. She should leave George alone. He seemed very happy with Calli (and deservedly so) till Izzy decides to get him drunk and use it as an excuse to nail him. It's as if she is jealous of George being happy. She just don't know who to jump into bed with next. I have no sympathy for her character at all. She really took advantage of George's gentle nature. She is a BUM.

Time for your refresher course in dark and twisty.
After the two moved in with Meredith the first thing they had to do was set boundaries. Izzie was walking in on George in the bathroom and telling him to go out and get her tampons. George was telling Izzie to remember that he was not her sister or her girlfriend. Izzie was telling him about her monster and how she needed to feed the beast. He was telling her how he wanted to be with Meredith. She was telling him to get off the bench and get some. He ended up with Syphillis and she and the other girls made a point of checking out his butt. And then she hooked up with Denny confusing caring for her patients with falling in love with her patients, and; he had sex with Meredith and in his frustration over her response, he slept with Callie who all but threw herself at him. Denny died leaving her empty. George's father died leaving him empty. She tried to heal herself with greaving. he tried to heal himself with sex. Callie ask her to talk to her friend. Next thing you know she sees George's package. She tells George to ease up on Callie and not use her just for sex. He marries Callie because his father told him that "She gets you." Next thing you know they are having problems as Izzie knows that George married Callie for the wrong reason. She tells Callie and george this. Callie gets jealous of the fact that Izzie speaks her mind and George listens. Then comes the drunken sex thing. Then comes the George and his dirty little secret line. Then comes the Izzie crying over how George saw things. Then comes the Izzie telling George that she was not ashamed of it. Then comes George with his I won't hurt Callie. Then Come Callie with her find a new friend stuff. Then comes Izzie with the penis fish. ANd then come George with his I'm leaving. And now they are kissing in the elevator, because bottom line is they have been close throughout this show and now that closeness is tearing them apart. Consider all that has happened to this point foreplay before they have to decide what exactly they have. You may have thought it was a friendship but I don't have too many friends I let walk in on me in the shower and and strike up a conversation, or catch me with my pants down. Give it a thought.

Gotta agree with the other opinions here that it is just for ratings/not really there, BUT, I still like them better than George and Cali.
