Write the ratio of 9 nickels to 2 quarters in simplest form.

Ok I suck at ratio's, would this answer be 9/2? If I'm wrong, what do they mean?

9 nickels=45
2quarters=10 nickels=50
9/10 would be the ratio

If they are looking strictly for the number of coins you are correct. However if you look at the coin values.....9 nickels is $0.45 and 2 quarters is $0.50. Therefore the ratio of the values would be 45/50 or 9/10 in its simplest form.

The answer above is almost right.
9 nickels is worth $.45
2 quarters is worth $.50
So, nickels to quarters is $.45/$.50, or 45/50
This reduces to 9/10, NOT 4/5.

9 / 19(95) =

855 / 19= 45

1 nickel=5cent 2 quarters=50 cents.
9 nicks=45cents. now you got the idea
