No, not really. We like to kid ourselves and say always tell the truth, but we all know you can't always do that. The world is not black and white, it's shades of grey. If it's a little white lie that doesn't harm anybody, go ahead why not. Just don't get in the habit. You need to be honest with yourself more than you lie to yourself if you are going to get anywhere in life.

i am in no position to say what is right and what is wrong....
but i wish for you to be happy! very very much!
if you lie to yourself... you make yourself start to believe in the lie... and regardless if it is right or wrong... it is bad to live in lies... i know this from experience...
please find peace within... every sad word i read kills me a little on the inside... someone so pure, and so similar to me... friends like you are VERY hard to find...

As long as you know it's lying and it is only to yourself, I don't see a problem with it. Just don't expect others to go along with it.
I know some really ugly people who tell themselves "I am a beautiful wonderful person". It helps their esteem, they lie to themselves, but I don't go along with that baloney.
