I'm assuming you mean Barry Bonds Jr. who is still playing, right?
Bonds hit homerun #71 on May 29th, 1989 while playing for the Pittsburg Pirates at Three Rivers Stadium against the Cincinnati Reds. He hit it in the 2nd inning off Tom Browning with Bob Walk on 2nd base for 2 RBIs. The homerun was unearned because of a previous two out error in the inning.
Oh you mean his 71st of the season, not his career? (LOL)
That was on October 5th, 2001 at Pac Bell Park.
