If ABC wants to try to make a spin-off with Addison, that's fine with me... but I was actually getting bored to death with 2 hours of junk just so I could see the actual show I wanted to see!

I read this review about it here, http://www.helium.com/tm/317252 and I must admit, I totally agree. Am I being to harsh? What do you guys think?

I guess.

I thought everyone was aware that pilot episode was on the way months ago.

Of course it should have been handled as a separate show and not one long two hour show. That was silly and confusing being as they used the same music in both shows.

I don't see Addison being necessary to the spinoff. She could go back to the main show and the spinoff could go on all by itself.

Harsh. You could lose the word junk and the phrase bored to death. It was a bit drawn out. It made the people who only wanted to see the main characters suffer through a new cast. But I can see that being a show. I just don't see a surgeon being on that show.

It was very disappointing to me. I am glad to see someone else say it. I am going through a hard time and was so bored last night. I was actually excited when I saw that G.A. was going to be two hours long. Boy was that a let down. I had heard that Addison was going to get a spin-off, which I couldn't understand as her character isn't that interesting. I can't see a show based on her, but it may be an OK show if the other characters are on more than she is. And not to be too picky, but is her character even licensed to practice in California? I worked for a doctor for several years and I know there is a lot of paperwork as far as getting a doctor privileges in a hospital, etc. It just seemed very unrealistic to me.

You are NOT being too harsh. You have nailed it. As an added comment, the Grey's Anatomy part of the show last night was not that great either.

No, you're not being harsh at all. My friend and I get together every week to watch 'Greys', and we were both bored stiff. I'm sure it's going to be a great spin-off, but airing an episode of 'Greys' that was all about the new show was unacceptable. If the network wanted to air a pilot, they should have done it another time. Or at least given some indication that the eposide wasn't going to deal much with the actual plot.
The few moments of actual plot for 'Greys' was actually pretty good, there just wasn't nearly enough of it!

I agree. I love Addison, but the new place with everybody wanting to sleep with everyone else is just too much. Of course the actors in the new place are all good, but I'm not sure if Addison is enough to carry a show herself and quite franklly I don't need to get addicted to yet ANOTHER tv show to watch.

The Grey's story line wasnt too goo either. I'm starting to dislike Izzy for confusing poor stupid George so much. They are about to implode!

And I'm feeling a little bad for McSweaty since he's obviously hurting that Addison is gone

ABSOLUTELY disappointed.

The feeling we got was that there should have been more in the dress shop.

Yes, we should have seen Addison leave but we didn't need that much detail. From my little group, we have determined that we are not going to watch the spin-off.

It definitely wasn't as good as I had hoped. I think they should have spread out the intro to all the Addison stuff over multiple episodes. However, the aspect with Susan dying was handled really well...I teared up.

Long story shortened. Meredith is dead because she said she would never be the kind of daughter to help her mother die. Her mother is going to die and this is going to inspire Meredith to come back either to prevent it or because her mother talks to her on the other side. This will allow Meredith the freedom to be that special person her mother thought she would be. The kicker is that If Meredith is free then she is free to leave, or not, to get married, or not, and to focus on her career, or not. This could really change her character.
