Not true.
It was reported under rumor/gossip and the site was updated at 1:29pm saying it was not true
UPDATE: TMZ has confirmed that Jay-Z WAS NOT aboard the plane. The three aboard the plane were "white men."

Until I see it reported by legit news source I'd say no. TMZ doesn't even know if he was on the plane let alone if he died.
