First unplug the computer (always when opening), open the case and find the cables that come from the "front USB" ports. These will usually be a thicker cable with smaller wires inside that go to either a pair of 5 pin connectors or a single two-row 10 pin connector - like this:

XXXXX
XXXXO

The "O" pin will either not have a wire connected or will have a plug in the hole to "key" the connector so that you can only plug it in the correct way. Usually the motherboard will have this same two-row 10 pin connector with one pin missing - so they are easy to locate. They are usually located at the bottom edge of the motherboard near where the power switch connection is made.

If you motherboard does NOT have any extra USB connectors (or they are not the faster USB 2.0 that you want), there are add-on USB cards with the "internal header" type connection that you need:

Good Luck!!

If you had confirmed that the 2 usb ports in front are inactive, then it means they are not connected to the motherboard.

If that's so, firstly you have to determine your motherboard can support more then the 4(can be 3 or 2) usb ports connected behind the computer. If it's determined that it can support more (there's unused usb ports), then you open out your computer and connect the unconnected usb cable (must be dangling there not connected by the technician). To do that you have to have your motherboard manual with you to locate where are the unused ports to connect. (warning, there are many different colour cables, you must be knowledgeable enough to locate the first pin and plug in correctly),

If all these not available, call up the computer company, there should be warranty on site since its new. Good luck.

A USB port is a gadget it really is known and enables intense velocity move between exterior contraptions and your computer. It has a narrow oblong structure. you ought to really be able to substantiate in case your computer has one through studying the back and front of it and searching for the kind of gadget, yet you may want to also stumble on this through going to the administration Panel and searching less than equipment and going to the Hardware tab, then clicking "gadget manager". All kinds of the hardware on your computer will be displayed. If there's a sub type suggested as "known Serial Bus Controllers", then there is truly one cutting-edge on your computer. in case you do not have one, you're literally not thoroughly out of success. you could bypass to a computer keep or place of work provide keep along with place of work Depot and purchase an low priced card with USB ports that you'll deploy on your motherboard (I did this with an previous computer i purchased back in 1998). possibilities are intense in case your computer develop into offered in 2001, it would want to have USB ports cutting-edge. i will not help too a lot with the cellular telephone question, yet there is probable a mechanism which prevents move from being this ordinary (they would not make any income the different case). i do not provide suggestion on something unlawful until eventually I disagree with the regulation; for this reason I do, yet regrettably i do not comprehend something about cellphones except the instantaneous move procedure.
