Obviously none of you is Greek! The evil eye has two sides.a/ When someone admires you, or your looks, or your wealth and b/ when someone envy's you for the same reasons.
Blue eyes: easy to give it- easy to get it
Green eyes: Easy to give it -difficult to get it
Dark eyes: Very easy to give it-imposible to get it
There are three ways to get rid of it : A prayer from a priest, a prayer from a woman who knows the words and finally some people use a glass of water and drops of olive oil whispering some words . Then, you know why you have the evil eye... Xenia Greece

maybe your refering to the evil eye and its Greek. IThe evil eye is either involuntary or deliberate. In the first incidences the persons do not intentionally use the evil eye, and usually are not aware they are doing so. No wrong doing or revenge is sought to another person.Almost anything could cause the notion that some person possessed an evil eye. If someone looked too long or lingering at one's children, or possessions, or livestock. If a child got sick, or some possession was lost or stolen, or some animals died, then the person was really suspected of having an evil eye.

If the evil eye and its effects could not be driven away then the victim thought he or she really had trouble, then it was time to consult an older and wiser woman -- usually a family member -- hoping she knew a secret cure.

In Greece , the official cure is to invite the culprit responsible for the evil eye to spit in a vessel of the holy water that is consumed by the victim

I don't know about the "bad eye." But when someone gives you a stern, reproving look, it's called getting the "stink eye."
