We don't have a problem with bike riders, as long as they are here on time. I walk to work, because I refuse to pay the insane gas prices as well.

Other companies might have a problem if you show up to work smelling badly, or with rumpled clothes. My company is okay with that, since we don't see a lot of clients in person.

It's possible you have an oder issue. A lot of people can't smell their own body oder. Especially if you had been working in close quarters with your coworkers, this would have been a problem.

But just for riding your bike to work? It doesn't seem like a logical reason to fire someone.

I think your brother has been breathing too many car fumes.

Unless you smell really bad from riding that bike, the bike isn't the reason. As long and you are on time and presentable for your job, and do an adequate job, employers don't care how you get to work.

Call an ex boss, and be very sincere, ask why.... and don't get upset over anything.

I dont think it matters, but of course if you are dressed in a 3 piece suit and trying to ride a bike....not a good idea. But a lot of people ride bikes to work that live in metro areas or walk. I just wouldnt tell people I rode a bike to work when applying its not there buiseness to now how you get to work as long as you get there.

I rode my bike to work for 7 years until a truck hit me.
Now I am scared of SUV they can't see me.
A Van hit me and now I have a knee that is not 100%.

I am a bike nut to.
WE get no respect having a car and going to work by car is classier.

that's silly. Ride your bike, who cares. As long as you don't smell the office, you should be okay.

Besides, who would know anyways.
