"old" is a definition that moves as you increase in age. When you're 10 then "old" is anyone over 20 and "ancient" is anyone over 30. I used to think that, by 40, you were putting your teeth in a glass by the bedside and tottering around on a walking frame! Of course, as you get a few more years then you probably put "old" about thirty years ahead of you.
One way to look at it is that the average life span is about 75 years. So 0-25 is "young age", 25-50 is truthfully "middle age" and 50-75 is probably "old age".
However, as I'm looking at 50 (a few years on, I might add) I have re-defined "old" as being over 80. When I'm 80 I might push the definition of "old" as being over 100!
Don't worry about your age. Just a number on a bit of paper.

Age is not important. You can be old at 25 or young at heart at 65. As long as you have got your health live life to the max. I saw a programme, where a 'mature' lady (75 years actually) had just taken a new boyfriend. He was 45. She said it had given her a new lease of life. I bet she could give you a few pointers. Fair play to her, that's what I say.

You start to get old when you say so. I'm 20 and I feel old, slow and I don't even fix myself up anymore. I feel like an old lady in a young body. My mother on the other hand is 40, she exercises everyday eats healthy puts on her makeup does her hair and nails and looks like shes my 25 year old sister. (old hag) I say that out of jealousy. I've seen the most beautiful women in their 40's, 50's 60's and I even know women who don't own wheelchairs in their 70's--the key is don't look old and tired and like you're ready to keel over. That gives it away. Make them guess. Enjoy life, treat yourself sometimes and be as young as you can. ..... I need to take some of my own advice!!

I refuse to be old until I'm dead!
Seriously, I'm 32 and I think I've felt old once. I was really run-down, tired and my body was completely aching due to overactivity at the time. I know several people younger than me who complain about being old all the time and I just don't get it. So, I seriously refuse to be old until I'm dead.
Age is a number, old is attitude.

There are so many issues in this world today! Getting older is GREAT! For instance: Whenever I hear people dismissing the fact that it is their birthday! - and that they hate birthdays I say "Your crazy! It's your birthday?? I'm always psyched when I have birthdays! The alternative isn't so great you know"! I'll be 57 in August and lovin' every minute of it! It's all in the attitude my friend - all in the attitude!~

I think 90 is old. If I ever feel like you do I just think to myself, so what- all the 18 year olds are gonna be a year old next year, and a year older the next- we all get older, every one of us, and theres nothing we can do about it so stop worrying about it and enjoy yourself!

You're always "old" to the ones who are 10-15 years younger! You're really only as old as you feel and act! A 30 yr. old teacher is old to the elem. students.
