Yes actually and I found the solution at a local feed and seed store which was a thing that was flavored like peanut butter and was in the form of a candy bar. This product was very effective and something added into if that kept the odor away if they died and you could not find them. Hope this helps you out.

Call and exterminator. I had to for my mice. they told me that mice "p" all over your house when they run. this lets other mice know how to get in your house. The exterminator put down sealed poison stations(so they are pet and child-proof) More than likely there isn't a nest in the house but they are coming from outside. They can enter you house through a hole as small as a dime.

I had mice the only thing that worked was the sticky pads from the diy shop not very nice to use but they worked if you have a strong stomach getting rid is the worst thing

Call an exterminator or get a cat or two. Seriously. Even if the cat is not a mouser, they will smell him and maybe move on to greener pastures. Good luck. With kids around, I wouldn't mess with poison. Let an expert take care of it.

If you do not want a cat then i would suggest contacting your local council who will have a pest extermination department.
It normally costs about £65 or per clearance but if you are in receipt of Social security or on any other benefit including tax credits you should find the service is free to you.
Good Luck.

ok this is one trick i learned and it worked for me. i have an asmatic child so i couldnt get a cat to get the mice so a friend told me to get pepsi or coca cola pop and lay it down in flat saucers where they can drink it. well mice and rats cant belch so they implode. and it only takes a few minutes and then poof no more mice, and the caffine in the soda is like an imbalmer to so they dont smell. i know it sounds horrible but it works

Need to get the traps that look like cheese that have the holes in them, stick peanut butter in the holes, so that the mice have to dig in the holes to get the peanut butter.
