I don't have a ton of great ideas, but I just want to tell you happy birthday!

Maybe you guys can get a nice hotel suite this year for a weekend... go to a spa for the weekend.

Good luck and have a great birthday!

Well, since money's tight and your birthday falls on the weekend why not go somewhere real nice for a 3-4 day weekend.

Make try finding a 3 day cruise that leaves friday and comes back Monday morning.

Go to Las Vegas but stay in a real romantic high end suite since it's only for 3 nights and not 6-7 nights.

Key West

If you are set on going somewhere for a week here are some other ideas:

-Sandals all inclusive resort (jamaica, st. lucia)
-Hawaii
-Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (Gorgeous)
-Zijuatanejo Mexico (Absolutely Gorgeous)

-Laughlin Nevada is another idea for either a long weekend or a week stay. Laughlin is located right on the Colorado River. It is older than Las Vegas but overall much more affordable than Vegas. I know this summer they are offering rooms midweek at $19.00 a night and $45.00 on weekends at the Colorado Belle. You can bring your water toys or rent waverunners or jet boats and have a blast on the river.

Whatever you decide to do and what' in your budget, I hope you have a great time!!

Since you haven't started your remolding yet, why not skip this year. Use the money to start on your house.

You can always go somewhere close so that you can drive there. Example: I live in Rhode Island, so New Hampshire would be of driving distance. (Plus it's beautiful!) I don't know what you want to do when you get there, but that's up to you!

How about going to a bar that has a mechanical bull? Bowling and karoake are also good stand-bys.
