Because everyone knows he is The Failure and they don't want to be tied to the stained Bush legacy of evil.

Were you listening to the same debate as me?Except for the one Libertarian, they all were sounding like G.W.,on the War,on Taxes,on Abortion,on Iran...etc. The divide only came about Immigration, for brownie points, most Republicans are against the current do nothing policy, allot of Democrats also.I really can't see why they all support his policies,Bush didn't even make it to the top 100 influential people in Time magazine, and he's the President of this Country.

It's called POLITICS.

They look at polls and think it is to their advantage, just as the Democrats do.

In my mind you should have your own values & beliefs and let us know what they are. If you agree with the President on some things fine, if you disagree fine. Just let us know truly where you stand and not base your positions on the current political winds.

Congress has a lower rating than the President so I'm not so sure some of the candidates know what they are doing, this would be on both sides.

Its politics my friend. His opinion polls are way low and they feel that by piling on it will make them more popular with thosae that disapprove of the President.

I support the US and the President because it is the right thing to do. That does not mean I am happy with everything this administration does, but with the constant bashing(quite a bit on false premises) it does nothing but weaken the US in the International Arena.

That's funny, I watched the debate last night and must have missed it. My guess is that was in the spin-zone after. I don't have a problem supporting a President that stands firm and does what is right, and doesn't lead this great Nation by polls.
God Bless America our Troops and Commander in Chief !!!

I think they blasted all of Bush's policies because a lot of people don't really like Bush. I think by criticising what he does, they will win voters. Personally, I used to like Bush because he had a good heart. Now, I think he is eccentric and outspoken. He does not put this country's needs first. We are paying tax dollars to fix another country when our country has a lot of problems...not very smart.

I don't think *all* of them "completely blasted" him. But it's about trying to win the elections, and backing Bush isn't the way to the White House right now.

LOL. An inadequate karma, but at least it's something. It would be interesting to show how many of them supported Bush when it wasn't so obviously unpopular. Con-artists (con-servatives) point out how Hillary voted for the war all the time. They seem suspiciously silent on their own crew who did so and now speak out against the war.

Because you libs have made it so difficult to be loyal and still win office. I'm not running so I don't have to pretend that Bush isn't doing a great job.

They want to cut all ties with the President.
The only way to do that is to trash his policies.
They can't change political parties or anything.
They are trying to make a new face for the Republican Party.

Same reason that the Democratic hopefuls tried to distance themselves from Clinton in 2000.
