Tecnically yes, but stick with the grade that your service manual says. For warranty issues. If you have a warranty. There are no advantages to use other grades of oil. 5w30 in winter and 10w30 summer.

Can you??? Most likely you CAN. However, don't do it. Put in the oil that is recommended by the manufacturer. If they call for 5W-30 then that is what you put in.

Personally, I like the synthetic oil. It is more expensive, but it does flow much better in cold temps and doesn't burn as quickly, and will last longer. Also change the filter when you change the oil too.

Only automotive oil! Any brand of automotive oil, and the weight of the oil should be at least 5/30 weight.

You should use the weight of oil specified by the manufacturer. This info is in the owners manual.

You can use any oil that meets this weight be it Valvoline, Quaker, etc. You can also use either synthetic or regular oil.

No. your car is designed for a specific type of oil, ( 5w-30, 10w-30) etc. You could put any kind of oil in it, but your engine won't last as long as it should.

Yes, but only in the respect that you can put any old food in your body. Use the right stuff and things last, use the wrong stuff and you'll be reasonably alright in the short term but in the long term you'd die quicker.
