I agree with you, give kids names that they won't have a struggle with. Creative people should write a poem or paint a picture instead of trying to be creative with names.

I want my children to have unique names. Not that I'm going to go to extremes, like calling my child Shaquayquay or something. But I don't want my kids to have names like Amanda, Jennifer, Katie, Ryan, Sam, Joey, etc. I have a very common name, and I HATED going into a classroom with at least five other girls having the same name.

I like unique names. I have made up my own names for my future kids. I have a unique name and love it. I don't know why people want to name there kids normal names like Ashley, Brad, Tim, Brandon, Chris(don't tell my boyfriend). But thats just me...

well in my opinion- unique names are just that- unique! mu two kids have very nice unique names that have meaning and happen to fit both of them quite fine.

I agree. Sometimes they are really far out there and hard to spell or pronounce. It's getting crazy. Lol.

i guess they just want their kids to be different. When i had my daughter instead of giving her the usual name spelled zoey, or zoe, i spelled her name zoei, just because i want her to be different.
