I'm trying to choose the classes I'm taking for my first semester for my freshmen year in college. So far I have English, Math, Linguistics and Drama. All of these classes meet college requirements etc. but I wanted to choose one elective. I narrowed it down to German or Chorus. German is worth 4 credits and Chorus is worth 1 credit, they are on the same days: monday and wednesday, they are on the same time slots and both are the same length. So which one would you choose? and Why? I need to make a decision.

I say go with Chorus. It is your first semester and you are going to want to have enough time to study for those core course as oppose to an elective because learning any language takes up a lot of time.

If you have a good voice and enjoy singing, take chorus. If not take German if you have a flair for languages.

German, time spent learning a language is never time wasted.
