Prenatal vitamins are good for the mom & the baby, you should be perfectly fine to take them, even if you're not pregnant.

The OTC ones are just as good as the prescribed ones. The OTC ones have all the vitamins that you and baby need. The prescribed ones usually have a bit more vitamins in them. So either way your good. I get the One A Day prenatal vitamins, $13 for a month supply. Missy Oldest son Dylan (4), 20 weeks 5 days with Daniel

You're probably better off just taking a regular multivitamin. Too many vitamins and minerals can be bad for you...prenatal vitamins are specially developed for a pregnant woman's increased vitamin needs (since the baby uses a lot of vitamins). However, if you are ttc or breastfeeding you can and should take prenatals.

sure can, they're good. They also try to get women who are trying to become preggers to take them. So it doesn't affect women who are not pregnant any different.
