Losing a series 4 games to 1 hardly means you got screwed. Unless it was unfair to have to play a superior team

The Canucks have for many years simply been the most over-paid bunch of under-achievers in the league! (at least since 1994).
They did somewhat better this season with Luongo and Vigneault, of that there is no doubt! However, many Canuck players STILL didn't play up to potencial and the playoffs were a sad mess. They almost threw away a series thay had practically in the bag and then they did lose a series which they could easily have won.
While definitely improved and with a star goaltender and finally a true winner as coach they may have a chance in the next couple of years, but this year in the end, they were still the same old losers who just like to show up in order to look repectable for a moment or two before heading out to the golf courses...........

Well, the winning goal in game five should have never been allowed because Niedermeyer's hit was an elbow to the head and deserved at least a minor penalty, if not a match penalty for intent to injure.
But any team which gives away game four like the Canucks did cannot complain about getting screwed.

Im sure there were some bad calls, but the Canucks were going to lose anyways!
The Ducks are a powerhouse team. They have the best chance of winning the cup this year than any other team. Forget about the Sabres, its the Ducks time to win. I expect them to be a cup favorite for the next 3 years or so. The penguins will probably take over after their young stars get used to playoff hockey!

i dont think they did, they were just out played in every aspect of the game, i would have rather seen the canucks win, i have hated the ducks for the longest time for no aparent reason, but they are a good team. the canucks need more than just the Sedin twins to help luongo out, he is back there working his @ss off with no defencive or offencive support.

When it came to the refereeing yes the Canucks had a lot of challenges to overcome. I think the hardest part about falling to the Ducks is that it is Brian Burke's team...and well if you are a Vancouver fan you know the history there. Dang. Time to regroup and move forward....next year!

Yes, I do. Primarily by the Sedins and Sopel. The former played like bored rockstars, the latter like a brain-damaged child. Those guys make a lot of money, so for them to phone it in during the playoffs cetainly constitutes a screwing in my book.
They screwed their teammates (most of whom I feel were working hard, and trying their best, despite popular opinion), and their fans.
As for the ref... I'm over that. It was questionable, sure, but as I said before you can't blame the ref for the fact that your team is in a situation where one blown call can end their season.

That goal was cheap. But face it they were ouplayed. Way too many Swedes in the lineup. Those guys do not like the bump and bang of playoff hockey. Linden couldn't carry them and Luongo was overworked. Outshot 2 to 1 last night. Something to build on for next year.

Not me, they hoped that dush Luongo would carry them all the way it's not just a good goalie, you need more then that just look at Jersey great goalie sub par team you need more of a team effort like the Ducks, Sabres or even the Sharks these teams can kick some @$$ Vancouver just was not a team that wanted to win

I have a hard time accepting that Niedermayer's "hit" was legal. It was another shot to the head. Getzalf should have been ejected the game before for a hit from behind. But hey I guess calling a penalty for placing your stick on Selanne's thigh and have him drop like a dead duck is a lot more justifiable a call for the referees to make. No disrespect for the Ducks, overall I thought they played well. These playoffs I have witnessed a lot inconsistent refereeing. They need to address these issues with the refs in the off season. Mainly take out shots to the head. The NFL did it. Time for the NHL to step up too. It's going to take someone to die on the Ice before they realize they have to do something.
