Why don't Americans get sarcasm and take everything literally. Oh and most importantly use spelled or learned when it should be spelt and learnt. Buy a dictionary yankies. The dollar is worth a bit to at least buy a dictionary.

For the same reason that the term **** in the UK is a playground insult but in the US a far harsher word - somewhat related to queef. Different usages are part of the rich culture to be had in exploring different countries.

Never heard of it Do you mean queer or bent or something like that.I am given to understand that queef is the passing of wind by a female through her vagina. Is this correct? Sounds peculiar to me.

It's probably because it's not a word we use in England. Neither is it a proper word found in the English Oxford dictionary so why would we know what it means? I mean do you know what a 'butty' is? How about a 'sarnie'? Same thing actually. they're both colloquial words we use in England for a sandwich.

What does it mean? I've never heard it before.
