Well after shooting his new pot hedghogs and spraying the angry guy of with a hose pipe.... Should I invite him round for Fish and chips? Only problem is I fished the fish from his prize winning fish pond?

Yes, you've done nothing wrong, just protecting the guy. Those pot hedgehogs could have been real and hostile hogs. You sprayed him to cool him down for his own good health, and you were doing him a favor by keeping his fish population down. I'd tell him to bring a bottle, but you never know what he might do in it. Some people just don't appreciate good neighbors

If he tries to return the favor though (and invite you for dinner) or brings a special dish, I wouldn't eat it.

No just don't go there with Neighbours there more trouble then they are worth just let them get on with what they are doing and you get on with what your doing, then they cant course you trouble in the long run....

not advisable, considering you nicked his fish, then asked ya whether to fry it or bbq it. just keep yourself to yourself and eat the bloody fish, before it starts to smell!
