outlook issues with verizon broadband?

Anyone ever see a problem with using Verizon Broadband and Outlook (not owa) continually tries to connect. The user can ping RDP to network servers. I've tried the flush DNS & updating the site, still no go.

I know that SWBell now ATT blocks port 25 which certainly would keep outlook from working when sending mail. Dont know if Verizon does the same but wouldn't suprise me. ATT lets you opt out of that block should you want to use another SMTP server. I would ask Verizon if they do block any ports.
