Let's see, one is based on a historical incident where the ship hits an iceberg, tearing the hull and allowing water to flow in and destroy buoyancy, thus sinking the ship. The other is a fictional account of a rogue wave capsizing an ocean liner, trapping air inside which allows the ship to remain afloat, albeit upside down. Yeah, they're so much alike.
