Hey guys, my old laptop's motherboard got fried, but I'm fairly certain the monitor still works. I was able to salvage the hard drive, but I have no idea how to separate the laptop screen from the body, let alone wire it up to where it'll work with my current laptop. Please help me out with some tips or give me some good links where I can research this stuff!! ^__^ thanks!

You can not. (At least not at all easily.)

The signals to the laptop LCD are totally different from the signals to a LCD monitor.

If you were to try you would probably spend more money building the analog to LVDS converter and power supply for the panel than a new 15" LCD monitor would cost, which would be brighter.

It would probably be cheaper to replace the motherboard too.
