There is an old saying "DON'T CALL US, WE'LL CALL YOU" and I believe it came about for situations exactly like yours..... if you get the job, you'll get the call---it's not like they are going to lose your number BEFORE they hire someone. If the employer is courteous, he will call you either way to tell you if you got the job or not....sometimes they don't bother to call the ones who didn't get the job... If they had to interview several applicants, those interviews can go on for a week or more so don't be impatient....but if you don't hear anything in a couple of weeks, consider that you have to look elsewhere...it's a tough world out there now and I've seen where 400 people come and apply for 2 or 3 jobs in one company....just think how long it would take to make THAT decision and all the interviews....

Did you send a thank you note or e-mail? That's always good etiquette (typically within 48 hours). But as far as calling back, one week is a good benchmark. I wouldn't call before one week, because the employer rarely makes decisions that quickly and they're probably still interviewing candidates. So I would wait until next Wednesday, and you can just frame it as "Hi, it so-and-so. I wanted to thank you for taking the time to let me know more about the job opportunity last Tuesday, and I was just wondering where you are in the interview process." He/she'll probably say they're still interviewing candidates, but it's still important to call because it helps with name recognition and it allows the employer to know you're really serious about the job. I'd continue to call back once a week if they don't get back to you. Sometimes the hiring process can take a very long time, so don't get discouraged. It was three weeks after my initial interview at a company before I was offered the job.

Wait about 1 week. So call next Monday, and ask if they have made a decision yet. Talk to the H/R Representative that interviewed you?

I waited a couple days, and then called and then waited and then called, and then called and then called. I think I got my job, because he figured if he just hired me I wouldn't have much reason to call him anymore. lol I know I called more than the other candidate for the job and I have been here for eight years now. I think its ok to call and thank them for the interview and express your continued interest, and desire to know it they have made a decision in your favor yet?
Good luck.

Do you have (or can you get) the interviewer's email address? Send a "thank you for interviewing me" type email. End with a line like "I am very interested in this position and hope you have found me a suitable candidate. Please let me know if I can answer any additional questions you may have". Then ask your references if anyone has called them yet.

in case you do not listen from them in a week, I see no clarification why you could't a minimum of drop them a note thanking them for the interview and that you've been in contact contained in the job. in the journey that they do reply with the help of writing lower back that they have got crammed the region, let them well known with the help of a telephone call or yet another note asking to thrill keep your application/resume on record for destiny openings. good luck!
