I have been brought up watching and playing cricket, but I watch the baseball on Channel 5 every Sunday and Wednesday. What I will say is that in my opinion, baseball is not an easy sport to play and in fact it has helped the Aussies dominate cricket for the last 5-10 years. The Aussie have used a former baseball player help with their fielding. The way that they field is obviously influenced by baseball. Ten to twenty years ago, you would not see any fielder outside of slip or wicketkeeper dive for a ball, but now this is commonplace, mainly due to baseball.

Baseball is a very complex, tactical and physical game and instead of criticising it, you should be embracing the good points of the game and incorporate it when you play cricket.

Yo Yankee dude, get a life.... Baseball is a girlie game. Anybody can play that but cricket needs lots of brains not just the power..Is this why the Americans can't play Cricket? The greatest game in the world? And u think America creams other countries? I don't think so but i know your ex-president is good at creaming women.. ;-)

Baseball is now way better than cricket. Just look at the batting in baseball its just wild swinging. Compare that to cricket where batting is an art an art and takes incredible skill and you need the ability to concentrate 100% for hours. Also the tactical side of the game is much more advanced and captancy is real skill being a blend of both motivation and tactical nouse. Also in cricket they catch with their hands rather than having a massive glove !!

The americans need baseball because they don't have a big enough attention span for a game that could take all day. How they can claim that their baseball champs play in the "world series" involving which countries exactly? Better not say too much more or they might invade my country looking for WMD's that don't exist!!!!

It's only a matter of opinion tho.

They're 2 different sports with completely different aims and outcomes.

And im saying this after 12 years of playing cricket!

Can someone tell me why ur so retarted. Nobody cares about cricket over here, because it's 2 gay, and we're 2 good 4 it. Cricket is 4 the countries that get creamed by America, that way, they won't have 2 play them in world competition.

i think cricket involves a lot of skill and logical thinking while any oul gob can play baseball which is just like a big game of rounders. Personally i prefer cricket but sure if they want to support big heavy men in stripey jerseys whacking balls about the place then let them at it !!!
