I have a computer that was purchased a looong time ago. It features a CD-ROM drive, a CD-R Burner drive, and a Floppy drive. Well, I now want to start using flash keys. Would it be possible to buy a new port and install it into my tower so I can use them? Where could I find?

YOu can prob find Serial to USB connectors to go in an expansion area on the back of your computer. YOu may also need a driver for it.

To use a flask key you need a key reader. I am assuming that you mean a USB key.

If you do not have USB ports, or if you want to run USB 2.0, which is a lot faster than the original 1.1, then there are PCI USB adapter cards that will give you up to four USB ports on the back of your computer. You could then either run USB extension cord(s) to the front of the computer, or use a USB hub.

If you are talking about SD compact flash, or some other sort of flash memory then I would still get the USB, just get a USB card reader as well.

check out this website - it tells you what you must have in order to do exactly what you are asking. It sounds like it depends on how modern your motherboard is. Good luck.
