We were always at war with Eurasia.
Why are you questioning the gov't? They only have your best interest at heart.
By the way, unemployment numbers typically ignore students who are actually seeking jobs, so theyre like free employment numbers when they have a job.
It also ignores under-employment; CNN just pointed out that while unemployment is down wages are far from keeping up with inflation.
Unfortunately people are unwilling to face this and prefer to just believe what is shoved down their throat by the administration and the media.
We're told that those numbers are accurate and it is hard to get full data about it; so we are stuck trusting those numbers.

People don't understand it because they don't think about the ones who aren't recieving benefits. Most people who work don't give a lot of thought to the people who are out of a job and really are trying to find one. My husband was recently laid off at his work. Unfortunately he is not eligible for benefits because he had less than 6 months in on the job. He's still unemployed but not counted in the statistics for Washington State.

First of all, there will ALWAYS be unemployment. Because quite simply, most unemployed people don't have the skills, the education, the drive, or the ambition to find work. Ultimately who's fault is that? The governments? George Bush? Your alcoholic mother? The bully at school who gave you a complex? We have illegal aliens in this country by the MILLIONS who are able to find work and send money back to Mexico. So if THEY can find work, why can't legal citizens?

Bottom line is we're doing better than we ever have.. And there are jobs out there for those looking ... Why are you bent on knocking our economy .... you one of those "glass is half empty" kinda people? Don't like the fact that the Dem's regardless of how hard they try, really can't convince us that our lives suck and we're all starving and homeless.... Get a life. You work for CNN or NBC??? Soros?

because no one made these arguments when unemployment was higher under Clinton and the left/media, etc. claimed the economy was great, even though these same arguments applied with equal force

Notice, who runs those two cities you cite - detroit and NO? Which party has controlled them for decades? It's not a correlation.
