My mother told me she only had one doll at a time (family of 10, farmers, not much money). She always named her dolls the same name, and when she had her first daughter, she named me Brenda, too! All my life people have called me Deborah or Debbie, which isn't my name. Maybe I was misnamed... guess I'll never know. My oldest daughter says she couldn't have picked a better name (Lila Dannette) for herself.

ugh, i think about that all the time. my mom even says she wishes she would have named me something different that it's too plain. what should i be named? hmmmm, i used to have a friend named alexis and i liked it but that would be horrible with my last name. i dunno.
