adjusting linkage on door latch assembly of a 88 chevy corsica?

the door opens from the inside but not from the outside, the linkage needs to be shortened.

Sometimes the linkage rods that connect the latch to the outside handle have threaded ends so you can adjust the connector..if not the only way is to rebend the end of the rod to make it shorter till you get the proper action on the latching mechanism. Good luck, Paul
